Inviting your crew
Add a tech by their personal email, set their role, and they're in — including their existing logbook if they already have one.
Sending an invitation
Only Admins can invite crew members. Supervisors can view the Team list but cannot send invitations.
- 1.Go to Team and tap + Invite member.
- 2.Enter the team member's personal email address — not a work address. Logbook portability depends on this. (Why this matters →)
- 3.Set their role:
- Technician (L1/L2) — can log hours, complete pre-starts, sign SWMS as crew. Cannot draft SWMS or counter-sign others.
- Supervisor (L3) — all Technician permissions, plus draft SWMS, counter-sign logbook entries, and run pre-starts.
- Admin — full access including team management, billing, equipment register, and credential management.
- 4.Enter their IRATA level (1, 2, or 3). This determines what they can sign and which logbook tracking milestones apply.
- 5.Tap Send invite. If they are new to RopeLogix, they will receive an email with a link to set their password — the link is valid for 7 days. If they already have an account, they will be notified that they have been added to your organisation.
If they already have a RopeLogix account
When the invitation email address matches an existing RopeLogix account, the crew member is prompted to join your organisation on sign-in — they don't need to create a new account.
Their existing logbook entries remain in their account. They continue to appear in your organisation's team view, and new entries they log while in your org are visible to your supervisors.
Their pre-existing entries from previous employers are theirs — your supervisors cannot edit or delete them, only view what the tech chooses to share for counter-signing context.
Managing your team
View all active members, pending invitations, and their current credential status under Team. From here you can:
- ● Change a member's role.
- ● Resend an invitation if it hasn't been accepted.
- ● Remove a member from your organisation (their personal logbook is unaffected).
- ● View each member's IRATA level and credential dashboard.
Assigning crew to a specific job
Adding a tech to your org under Team doesn't auto-assign them to every job — you pick who's on each job from the job's own Team tab.
- 1.Open the job, then tap the Team tab.
- 2.Tap Assign from org and pick one or more org members. You can filter by IRATA level — handy when ICOP requires an L3 supervisor.
- 3.Once an L3 is on the job, the Overview tab lets you name them as supervisor.
- 4.Need to swap someone out? Tap Remove next to their name on the same tab.
Starter plan: member limit
Starter tier allows up to 10 team members. If you need to add an 11th, you'll be prompted to upgrade to Professional. Compare plans →
