Inviting your crew

Add a tech by their personal email, set their role, and they're in — including their existing logbook if they already have one.

Sending an invitation

  1. 1.Go to Team → Invite member.
  2. 2.Enter the team member's personal email address — not a work address. Logbook portability depends on this. (Why this matters →)
  3. 3.Set their role:
    • Tech — can log hours, complete pre-starts, sign SWMS as crew. Cannot draft SWMS or counter-sign others.
    • Supervisor — all Tech permissions, plus draft SWMS, counter-sign logbook entries, and run pre-starts.
    • Admin — full access including team management, billing, equipment register, and credential management.
  4. 4.Enter their IRATA level (1, 2, or 3). This determines what they can sign and which logbook tracking milestones apply.
  5. 5.Tap Send invitation. The crew member receives an email with a link to set their password and join your organisation.

If they already have a RopeLogix account

When the invitation email address matches an existing RopeLogix account, the crew member is prompted to join your organisation on sign-in — they don't need to create a new account.

Their existing logbook entries remain in their account. They continue to appear in your organisation's team view, and new entries they log while in your org are visible to your supervisors.

Their pre-existing entries from previous employers are theirs — your supervisors cannot edit or delete them, only view what the tech chooses to share for counter-signing context.

Logbook portability fee: If a tech already has a RopeLogix logbook from another employer and wants to transfer it to a new organisation, a one-off AU$19.99 portability fee applies. The fee is the individual's responsibility and is paid when they confirm the transfer. No admin action required — the tech handles it from their own account settings.

Managing your team

View all active members, pending invitations, and their current credential status under Team. From here you can:

  • Change a member's role.
  • Resend an invitation if it hasn't been accepted.
  • Remove a member from your organisation (their personal logbook is unaffected).
  • View each member's IRATA level and credential dashboard.

Starter plan: member limit

Starter tier allows up to 10 team members. If you need to add an 11th, you'll be prompted to upgrade to Professional. Compare plans →
